Description
Hi
I've done a good amount of " Baal's runs" and while I had some good drops from Baal itself and from the regular monsters on the way ( Worldstone Keep Level 2, Worldstone Keep Level 3 and Throne of Destruction);
the monsters on the " Baal's Waves", that should be the "mid-bosses", seem to have a worse drop table than the regular monsters on the way (can't remember they dropping runes a single time to me, or any remembrable drop )

Can be used to make Runewords:

Same here not much from the Baal waves too
A little of both.
I've gotten plenty of solid drops off of them. If you're not seeing any, you're just being unlucky.
However, do keep in mind that they are actually comparatively few mobs on an annoyingly long spawn timer/with forced breaks in between waves. As a result, your actual drops over time on them are rather crap, simply because the spawn delay forces you into fairly low kills/time. That's probably a large part of why they seem so bad even though they technically aren't on a per-mob basis.

OP
Make sense
Being more objective:
So, do the Megademon / Greater Mummy on the Baal's wave and the regular ones that may appear on Throne of Destruction have similar drop tables?

A few days ago, the second Jah I found ever.
I think it was the first wave, of Colenzo the Annihilator.

Came to say the same. Ball waves have a lot of waiting, so it will seem slower than killing 958690581796875 low mobs in p8 cows or Chaos in like <30 seconds.Schnorki wrote: 2 weeks ago A little of both.

Maybe exaggerating a little.
Couldn't you use like Silospen or some other drop calculator and just hover over for the entry to see the Treasure Class or something? Then you'd still have to find out what's in that treasure class.fredkid wrote:Make sense

Terror Zones will change monster levels and can potentially raise TCs.
OP
Good idea
using
Maxroll Drop Calculator
and looking the chance to drop a Titan's Revenge
https://maxroll.gg/d2/d2-drop-calculato ... ,unique281
Seem like the Uniques from " Baal's Wave" have the same drop table of a Champion of the same type

Pit Lord ( Throne of Destruction) 1:928 483 [Normal/White]

Pit Lord ( Throne of Destruction) 1:21 614 [Unique/Gold]
...
Ventar the Unholy 1:54 648
If this is correct, it explain the feeling that the " Baal's Wave" have bad drops... you think that you are killing 5 Uniques, but are in fact killing 5 Champions (with golden names)Horadrim Ancient ( Throne of Destruction) 1:990 382 [Normal/White]
Horadrim Ancient ( Throne of Destruction) 1:54 648 [Champion/Blue]

Hmm. That's odd. I thought the named Uniques (Super Uniques) usually had a slightly higher rate of dropping things, usually? But maybe not.
Well, they do drop a lot of experience at least.
LoD
Same here. Always crap.
Crap loot since LoD

If you would like to make an offer, please add me in bnet and comment in thread with the offer. Thank you.
Usually yes, but the baalwave monsters are special, they do drop like champions. They CAN drop gg stuff up to Zod, but chances are not very good. Did you notice that they don't automatically drop magic gear like all uniques do?SkullScythe wrote: 2 weeks ago Hmm. That's odd. Hmm, I guess I've never really noticed.
I farm Baal waves for potions.
Non-Ladder, Softcore. You may mix and match by rates below.
2 Hel ← 1 Festering Essence of Destruction
2 Hel ← 3 Perfect Amethyst
4 Hel ← 1 Ist
2 Hel ← 1 Festering Essence of Destruction
2 Hel ← 3 Perfect Amethyst
4 Hel ← 1 Ist
so when the waves are dead you exit game and make new to farm them again )
jokes aside, when they dont drop loot more or better than other champs i would put that inthe categori of dropping bad loot since you have to wait for them to spawn.
looking at lister's unique drop chance, 150mf 1 player, most and least likely drops:
Venom Ward 1 in 9,542
Tyrael's Might 1 in 1,399,385
so lister can drop anything (?), but terrible rates...

The glass-half-full approach is that you are mostly farming Baal. And you have a bonus opportunity for a decent drop, and good xp, from killing his minions
