Sorceress Meteor vs Blizzard

Hi,
I am building a Fire sorceress. Lvl 26 right now. I have reached the Meteor skill. But I notice that when you cast the Meteor skill, it does not follow the foes when they go in another director. For example, when a group of foes comes near you and you cast Meteor on them and them you run away and they follow you but Meteor does not follow them and Meteor ends up falling on the previously cast location.

I remember that the equivalent of Meteor in Ice skills which is Blizzard, does follow the foes when they move and go in another direction. If Meteor will not follow the foes, what good will it do? I mean I cast Meteor when there is a bunch of foes in a group and then coming towards me, which is when I cast Meteor on them but also run away not to get hurt too much. But then foes follow me and Meteor falls on an empty spot which is frustrating.

Anyone else have an idea on this?

Cast it on you and then run away. Should plop down on they heads. Just need to anticipate how the skill works to use it efficiently.

Don't use Meteor... switch over to Hydra and enjoy.

Is Meteor not recommended?

yeah could be.

Meteor is great in baals throne room bc u can cast where u know enemies will spawn. Other than that, its a bit difficult to use, especially if enemies are fast and not being crowd controlled. Also a good merc can tank the enemies and you just cast on him.

Blizzard is a lot easier since it hits way faster and chills enemies. Of course with either you will run into tons of immunes.

This. The fact that it hits and ticks for damage is okay I guess... but if it doesn't, you just cast again. I prefer Hydra, especially now that you can get them all out super fast.... try both and figure out which you like.

Hydra-Orb hybrid is the most efficient one I have ever tried after 2.4. So you can easily go on with Hydra first and you only need to make ORB full beside enough point to Cold Mastery on the cold tree. Very solid for me.
