Description

While I am teleporting through the wastelands on my search to find keys, I started thinking. While teleporting you spend about 1/3 of a second (estimated guess) in a place until you
Teleport
to another place. Still - sometimes you take damage. Wow, are those monsters quick! Out of the blue you are there and then you arte already away again and they still manage to hit you.

So this is my question: Are there stats about this? Are there monsters more likely to react quick and hit you than others? Is there somethuing like a monster reaction time?

If people know about this thing, then probably in this forum...

Not an expert on this topic, but I have a vague understanding of monstats.txt, which is the file responsible for handling monster AI and the like. I'm guessing the relevant parameters here are:

aidel: determines monster aggression by the # of frames needed for the AI to make a decision. Typically a lower value = faster actions, but this may not be true for all monsters.

aidist: determines monster 'vision' (or better to say aggro distance).

I suppose the aidel parameter is the culprit here, but I can't say definitively as I'm no modder. The folks over at phrozen keep would know the answer.
