Only the

Gold the vendor will give you. The added light/fire damage only applies to hwackin the baddies with it. The +skills are not very good.

For a good one, you would want stats like +2 sorc (all) skills, + top end skills (blizz, lightning, fb, fw, orb, etc), faster cast rate, and other top tier specs.
Otherwise the unique and runeword options are just so much better.

Note: Rare items of any sort that that can outperform their unique/runeword competition are insanely rare- so much so that most players don't bother with them. But they're out there. Keep bringing them to Cain and gl.
