Description

Hey everyone, I’m just rounding out my builds and need some sockets, ideally as fast a possible. I’m ssf offline, so I’m not above farming gear specifically for a
Larzuk
only build. My intent would be to rush to
Larzuk
as fast as possible, socket something, rinse and repeat.

So what would everyone say is the best way to go about this? Any gear recommendations would also be appreciated!

Also forgive me if there’s already a post on this.

Thx all.

I did test all builds but my recommendation is Fire Trap Sin.
Fire damage is high and BoS will increase your run speed.

Stealth armor + FRW
Boots
.
Dual Claw with + trap/
Wake of Fire
skill

Relax and have fun!

Pala is also fast with Holly Fire, but you need to check levelling guides for this. Holly Fire +
Resist Fire
synergy is very powerful, I believe.

both
Holy Fire
paladin and fire trapsin are great choices. I usually make a Leaf staff early in ladder to level sorc but it doubles as a early trapsin starter too. +3 fire skills and i think it has mana per kill as well

Any recommendations for gear?

honestly if your just rinse and repeating normal sigons set with those builds is more than enough

I like a
Holy Fire
Paladin with a
Raven Claw
. The explosive
Arrows
give your
Holy Fire
damage an aoe and it doesn't require a successful hit to proc the explosion.
7
If you go with Pala, I recommend first 1 point to HF then go with
Resist Fire
. It gives 18% fire damage per level.

Hmm, sounds like
Holy Fire
pala is one of the better options, now what gear is the best, can’t do Sigons with
Raven Claw
, any other set combos? I’ve heard Angelic’s and hsarus is ok
7
if i remember right a partial sigon and partial angelics is pretty decent and gives you a substantial magic find boost. maybe find yourself a
Gull
Dagger
or some of those useful beginner uniques!

Image
7
Just checked. Angelic ring, amulet and armor or weapon with sigon
Boots
and 2 other pieces i believe will get you 100% to mf. Early in game thats huge

True, but if I wanted to mf I’d just bring my 389mf level 91 sorc back to the appropriate act. I’m mostly looking for speed to get to
Larzuk
.

This is totally a good conversation and I’m sure others are finding it as useful as I am!

I just dropped an
Eth
Gull
from hell countess solo...thats gotta be pretty rare lol.. i just mention somone maybe finding it and here i go

I can confirm that
Holy Fire
paladin is game on easy mode. Just walk around everything and it dies. I just run circles around mobs, only bosses that I have to swing at.

I don't know what the best skill spread is between
Holy Fire
and
Resist Fire
, but a few minutes on a skill builder site will give you that info.

I am available for trading every other week, limited trading on my off week.
Thanks for understanding.

Was curious what actually would be the most opitmal way to skill this, so did some math. Assuming that you focus primarily on the Aura Damage, rather than the Attack Damage, the most optimal Skill distribution would be:

Holy Fire
(3x) - (Level 3)
Resist Fire
- (Level 1)
Holy Fire
(2x) - (Level 5)
Resist Fire
- (Level 2)
Holy Fire
(6x) - (Level 11)
Resist Fire
- (Level 3)
Holy Fire
(2x) - (Level 13)
Resist Fire
- (Level 4)
Holy Fire
(5x) - (Level 18)
Resist Fire
(16x) - (Level 20)
Holy Fire
(2x) - (Level 20)

(Calculations - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0)

Was fairly tricky to figure out actually, since
Holy Fire
's Base Damage Bonus increases every 8 Points, so going from Level 8 to 9 gives you more Damage per Skillpoint, which is why we do have prolonged times where we pump points into
Holy Fire
to get to that increased Bonus. Same is actually true when you go from Level 16 to 17 and would also be true for Level 24 to 25 (which will be unlikely to be reached in a rush scenario).

Note that if you do have + To Skills (like Sigon's Shield) this also counts into the
Holy Fire
Level, so you can put points into
Resist Fire
earlier, depending how much + To Skills you have on your equipment.

As far as Equipment goes, stacking + To Skills is probably the quickest way to progress:

Sigon's Guard
(Level Req: 6),
The Eye of Etlich
(Level Req: 15) and then switching into Milabrega's Regalia (Level Req: 17), resulting in +4 To Pala Skills overall. Also
Magefist
(Level Req: 23) would give you another point into
Holy Fire
, although I think by that point you should have already reached your goal.

So assuming this equipment, the optimal Skill-build would look like this:

Holy Fire
(3x) - (Level 3) - Character Level 3
Resist Fire
- (Level 1 - from Q1, A1) - Character Level 3
Holy Fire
(2x) - (Level 5) - Character Level 5
Resist Fire
- (Level 2) - Character Level 6 (
Sigon's Guard
)
Holy Fire
(5x) - (Level 10+1) - Character Level 11
Resist Fire
- (Level 3) - Character Level 12
Holy Fire
(2x) - (Level 12+1) - Character Level 14
Resist Fire
- (Level 4) - Character Level 15 (
The Eye of Etlich
)
Holy Fire
(2x) - (Level 14+4) - Character Level 17 (Milabrega's Regalia)
Resist Fire
(16x) - (Level 20) - Character Level 33
Holy Fire
(2x) - (Level 20) - - Character Level 35

The route would assume to skip
Radament
, for it is too much of a detour to be effective enough to have that extra Skill Point. Depending what Level you are when you hit
Izual
, just distribute them accordingly.

Yep the fire pally skills outlined above looks to be the best, thx angel witch!

I’m also going to socket my sigons set with
Hel
runes or -15 jewels with other mods so I don’t need the strength investment.

For jewelry I went with angelics (double rings) to round out the attack rating and give a strong bonus to regain life (until I can put on the +1 am my) next I’ll shop for a tele staff for switch and I think we’re good

For my merc I think I’ll just stay with an act 1 fire rogue and give her a 3 socketed bow with 3 perfect emeralds, then whatever armour and
Helm
I can find that works. I don’t think and act 2 merc would add anything better (or would it?)

Thx for everyone’s hard work, this is awesome I can’t wait to get my sockets coming in! I bet with practice I’ll be able to get them in 2 hours or less (still worth it)

This was the build I liked the best when I was doing this single player with a
Holy Fire
paladin. I've used Sigon's, Iratha's, and a lot of other combos and this one is the most efficient for me. I use a bow the whole time which gives me high survivability and low potion use. You only need to add 5 strength so you can pump vitality after level 2 and lose the stamina potions pretty quickly. This is also designed for minimal equipment switches.

Gear:
Level 1:
2 no level requirement +4 Dex grand charms or whatever combo to give you +8 dex
4 socket
Hunter's Bow
with 4 chipped topazes
3 socket
Mask
with 3 jewels of envy(20 poison dam over 2 seconds, no lvl req)

Level 2:
3 socket
Breast Plate
with 3 jewels of envy (requires 5 additional str from starting stat)

Level 3: Hsarus
Boots

Level 6:
Death set gloves and
Sash
. This will let you hit the 30 IAS breakpoint with the
Hunter's Bow
and give you CBF. Partial Sigon's will work too but then you have to pump strength early, won't have the CBF, and you don't need the extra potion rows since you will rarely use potions.

Level 12:
Angelic amulet and dual angelic rings

Level 15
Raven Claw
bow

Level 16
Twitchthroe
armor. This will let you hit the 48 IAS breakpoint with
Raven Claw
.

Skills Progression:

1st point into Might, next points into
Resist Fire
until level 6, then pump
Holy Fire
with extra points going into
Resist Fire
. Maybe you could optimize this further by mixing up the progression a bit but I never felt the need.

Make use of your /players command as often as needed to maximize your leveling and speed. Defense is not really important because your offense is so overpowered and your vitality is going to be pumped.
